As the ministry leaders of Rancho del Rey, our goal will always be to serve God’s people with the love of Jesus. We are regular Christians who happened to get blessed with the ability to help others grow in their relationship to Jesus. We might get paid to work for the church, but our goal is to be just one small part of what God is doing through His people at Rancho del Rey.

Matt Tague  |  Pastor

Matt was born and raised in Carlsbad, Calif.  Although growing up in a devoutly Christian home, he struggled and rebelled against the Lord as a teenager. However, at eighteen, Matt gave in to God's love and submitted to Jesus.  Soon after, he met and married his wife Kelli.  They now have three children and love the role that God has given them as parents.

In 1998, Matt graduated from Vanguard University with a degree in Ministry and Leadership.  For the last fifteen years, he has worked for a variety of Christian ministries including Horizon Christian Fellowship in San Diego, the Christian Research Institute in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and Carlsbad Community Church in Carlsbad, Calif.

In 2005, the Lord called Matt to plant Rancho del Rey Christian Church in Carlsbad, Calif. Matt's heart desire is to help people see Jesus in all his glory.  His life's calling is to present the Jesus of the Bible to people who don't yet believe, and to encourage fellow Christ-followers to live in complete, life-altering obedience to God.

Aaron Cameron  |  Assistant Pastor / Youth Ministry

Aaron was born in Ohio and moved to North County at the ripe-old age of one month, and has called San Diego home ever since. He went to Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif., and is now attending Horizon Bible College in San Diego.

He enjoys football, basketball, snowboarding and reading God's word. He loves hanging out with his family and watching his nieces and nephews grow. In his spare time he likes to listen to music and attempts to play the guitar.

Aaron grew up attending church at North Coast Calvary Chapel in Carlsbad, Calif., where he volunteered in the high school ministry and served as the interim College Director. He has a passion for youth, community outreach, missions, and most importantly sharing God's word in truth and love.

Jeanne-Marie Grewe | Children's Ministry

Jeanne-Marie was born in New York and moved to San Diego when she was 5. She married her husband, Nick, in August 2005. Although their family is scattered across the country, God has blessed them with an incredibly close family.

Before working in full-time ministry, she was a dance teacher for about 10 years. As she choreographed musicals and directed children's productions, she found herself constantly surrounded by children.  In 2001, Jeanne-Marie dedicated her life to the Lord and started to learn what living for Jesus really meant. Soon after, she became involved in children's ministry as the Elementary Coordinator for The Rock Church in San Diego. Jeanne-Marie's passion in life has always been "hanging out with little people" (kids that is) and inspiring them to live a life that is worth more than what the world has to offer them.

There is not much that she would consider more rewarding than seeing Christians who want to discover, develop and apply their God-given gifts to impact the lives of children in such a way that when the things of this world try, they can not destroy the faith of a child.
