We are currently studying the Book of 1
Samuel. We are amazed at how God uses
His chosen people, the humble Israelites, to
stand out among the many powerful nations surrounding
them. In all of this, we see God's hand preparing
the way to bring us salvation through His Son, Jesus
Christ.
Whether we like it or not, everyone worships something.
Worship means giving your full attention to something
you love or adore. Many people worship things
like money, sex, power, fame, knowledge, nature,
other people...and the list goes on and on.
But there is a problem with this; it never ends! People
are always craving more money, more power, more
fame, more knowledge and we never seem to be satisfied.
Why? Because the worship is focused
on the wrong thing. God created in us the desire
to love and worship Him, but many times we settle
for the creation and not the Creator. At
Rancho Del Rey Student Ministries, we come
together to worship the Living God! We are a
generation who seeks truth, and upon careful reflection,
we are convinced that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth,
and the Life. We want more than just religion,
we seek a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you
already have that relationship, and desire to
go deeper, come and join us. If your not
sure about all of this, and have a lot of questions,
come and join us. Do we have fun, and do other
things? Of course we do, but we seek to live
Jesus above and beyond anything else.
